The “Tribute to Woodstock” sold out at the Brauntex Theatre in August and quite a few hippies were not able to see the show. NOVEMBER 16-18, 2021 |  FESTIVAL OF TREES 

It’s almost time for New Braunfels’ 6th Annual Festival of Trees. The family-friendly charity event is the perfect way to kick off the 2021 Christmas season. Festival goers will enjoy walking through a winter wonderland and taking pictures with Santa. More than 30 fully decorated Christmas trees and wreaths will be available to purchase through a silent auction. Proceeds go to support Meals on Wheels and Senior programs through Comal County Senior Center.

NOVEMBER 19, 2021 |  DOWNTOWN TREE LIGHTING

The City of New Braunfels invites everyone to ring in the holiday season on Friday, November 19th with the arrival of Santa Claus. Spend the evening beneath a hundred thousand twinkling lights in historic downtown New Braunfels. The dazzling display of low energy and sustainable LED lights stretches through downtown and will remain lit for the holiday season.

The community is invited to join in the ceremony and countdown to the illumination, where the Mayor will “flip the switch” to officially light downtown and Santa will arrive on a vintage fire truck. The evening will kick off at 6:00 PM. with music provided by the Comal Community Band. Holiday treats and pictures with Santa on the bandstand will be available for purchase from the New Braunfels Downtown Association. Picture with Santa will be $10.00, cash only. Pronounced VY-NOKS-MARKT, this New Braunfels tradition offers the charm of open-air Christmas markets of Germany, except indoors. Enjoy Gemutlichkeit and fun at this three-day market supporting history education and preservation through the Sophienburg Museum and Archives.
