About Rio Guadalupe Resort

Rio Guadalupe Resort, formerly known as River Valley Campground, opened in 1976. Years earlier, German citizens of New Braunfels used the riverfront as a park. For a short time, the property was also the site for a community center called Walhalla.

In the beginning, Rio Guadalupe Resort’s 25 acres were overgrown with cedar and mesquite trees. There were no utilities or roads, but the site had a lot of potential. After months of hand-clearing and road work, a small storage building was erected to serve as an office. RV hookups were installed along the tree-line Guadalupe River overlooking the Guadalupe and Rio Guadalupe Resort opened for business.

Rio Guadalupe RV Park is nestled on 25 acres with ¼ mile Guadalupe River frontage. There are 64 RV campsites total, including 46 pull-through spaces. The typical RV site is gravel-lined, 20-25’ wide, and 70-80’ long. Rates are for double occupancy. Extra charges may apply for additional people.
